These awards have been made possible by the financial support of the International Commission of Glass (ICG) and the Italian Society of Optics and Photonics (SIOF).

A competing student must have submitted an abstract for oral or poster presentation before the designated deadline for the either Workshop, in Mexico or Poland.

A competing student must be the first author of the abstract and oral or poster presenter.

A competing student must be fully registered for the Workshop as ‘student’ (in agreement with the rules of either event) and must attend the respective event.

A student may compete only once (for one of the events and for one of the categories, oral or poster).

A competing student presenting a poster must be available during the designated Q&A period for delegates and judges during the Workshop.

In order to compete, a student must send by mail to pre22@fotonica.it an additional graphical abstract, that should summarize the contents of the work in a concise, pictorial form designed to capture the attention of a wide readership online. It should highlight the main point(s) of the work and include a caption describing the image. Any text or label must be part of the image file; on top of the image a label must be inserted with the following information: <student’s name et al. (in case of co-authors), title of the presentation>.

Deadline for graphical image submission is two weeks before the date of either Workshop.

More details are given in the Call (to be downloaded).
